We have many times heard that we must
keep our work and personal life apart from one another or we must keep work
worries at the door when we come back home and life worries away when at work.
But is it possible?
The average answer to it will be, No.
Being a single personality it is hard for any person to keep their life stress
or work stress away while entering the other side.
Our personal life and work are both parts
of our life so they will always be interconnected. In traditional work, this
aspect has not been given much importance, as the importance of mental health
is neglected to the most extent.
When it comes to agile the scenario is different because agile always starts from
the mindset thus, it gives high importance to mental health. But does that
means agile work
doesn’t add to any stress or issues at work that a person must worry about?
Even after well-organized and planned agile development can be
sometimes stressful creating anxiety. The constant strive to be perfect,
feedback, continuous change, and a lot of responsibilities for every role to
carry will build pressure without knowing the person bringing worries in life.

Tips to Stay Worry Free
To Control Overthinking
Most of the worries come due to
overthinking and predicting things that may not even happen. Even though there
are days when something might happen but worrying about it from the very start
and overthinking it is worth it. What is the point in worrying about things
that we cannot handle if we can handle the situation then there is no need to
worry? Some have a habit or nature to take tension and overthinking a lot so to
avoid it they can follow some basic tips;
Try to live for a day only. You need to
have a mental worry only for a day till midnight. Make a rule that all the
things that happened in past or will happen in the future must not interfere with
your today. Limit your focus only for a day.
If you still keep on overthinking then
use a method of calculating the worst possible scenario. Write down your most
feared concerns and their consequences. Try to find out a way for it. Conclude
on best solution and rest.
Control Financial Worries
Other than overthinking, the financial
burden is the next reason causing most worries whether in life or agile business budgeting.
There are ways to handle financial worries which are explained below.
Be honest about your expenditure and
income. This will give you a clear idea of why the worry is created. If
possible try to manage expenditures within your income budget. Write down every
detail and create a realistic budget.
Avoid making financial commitments out
of your league or we can say don’t commit what you can’t fulfill and afford.
This also applies to agile
team members.
Teach at home, your children have to
manage money and be sensible with expenses.
To worry-free financial lives have insurance
for health, homes, and possessions. Find a passive income source for extra money.
Worry creates stress on our mental
health and eventually affects our bodies. To avoid dealing with worry fatigue,
always be aware of your body changes and try to find if there are any signs of
mental or physical tiredness.
Identify what triggers your worry and
try to minimize them by practice. Have proper sleep every day, as sleep is not
a luxury but a necessity for stable mental health.
Being busy avoids extra thought and
hence avoids overthinking and worrying attitude. Try to keep yourself busy and
do the things you enjoy most whenever possible. This will help relax your mind.
Do not live your life based on what
others think of you if anyone criticizes think over it if feels right then try
to implement it or else take it as a compliment and leave the rest.
With the above ways, anyone can reduce
their life and work worries and live life to the fullest. This will help you
give an impactful performance in your agile work as well as in life balancing work and
life.
