Agile Advice- De-clutter Your Mind


 

Have you ever de-clutter your workplace or home? If you had then you must have obtained relief as it provides more space and freshness in the space it is done, Right? Almost all of us know about de-cluttering.

Dirty dishes from the sink, a stack of papers from the work table, or whether it's dried leaves and hays from the garden whatever the clutter maybe brings negative effects, bringing adverse effects on overall well-being as well as on our minds, that no one can deny. When these piles are de-cluttered it brings a positive effect on our lives and freshness for our mental state. When this outer de-cluttering can be so effective what internal de-cluttering will bring to us?

Agile advises; de-clutter your mind and thoughts as they are the base of almost everything in the world. As we all know agile has always preferred starting from the mindset change and development. Similarly agile suggest de-cluttering of mind and our thoughts first of anything else. Our mind and thoughts are important, as it provides shape to a perception of reality. Whether a negative, positive, or neutral thing, if we see they all starts from thoughts and ideas. So always having a good start is not a bad thing, right? When we have enough space and freshness in our mind it will provide us with extra energy to work and brings out good and creative ideas.

Our mind gets cluttered with many thoughts some of which are even not useful for us.  This mental clutter is caused due to main four reasons;

Daily stress- Which caused due to overloading of regular information, triggering many health issues with physical clutter.

Choice Paradox- Too many choices lead to anxiety, indecision, dissatisfaction, and paralysis.

Too much Stuff- When you have too much stuff and its information that is not even needed; this sucks your time and productivity causing anxiety.

Negative Bias- Our reactions to negative thoughts and stimuli are more intense compared to positive ones causing more anxiety and stress and further clutter.



So how can you de-clutter your mind and thoughts and bring positive effects in your life avoiding anxiety and bringing productivity and creativity for agile businesses? To de-clutter thoughts, there are four easy and effective ways to do this, which are mentioned below.

Engage Yourselves in Deep Breathing

When we are emotionally affected we can observe it through our breathing. Sometimes our breathing gets too rapid or too slow with emotional turmoil. Our mind continuously recalls negative thoughts and conversations even after we shut them down. To manage the effect de-clutter mind from negative thoughts and work on mindfulness. This can be done by focusing on our breathing for the time being.

Meditate

Mediation promotes stress relief, increased productivity, improves brainpower, and helps divergent thinking. To achieve all this with only a single thing and less effort is to meditate. Meditation means sitting in one place quietly and focusing on breathing without any distractions. This can be simply started by practicing it daily only for ten minutes.

Reframe Negative Thoughts

The unwanted thoughts are the ones who clutter our minds and drain our enthusiasm. Follow some tips to achieve de-clutter your mind and thoughts.

We must be a watcher- Separate ourselves from our thoughts and watch them observe what is going on in our minds.

Name thoughts- Mentally acknowledge what you are thinking and never deny it at least with yourselves. But also accept that these thoughts are not your reality.

Use methods to put negative thoughts in Deep Hole- There are various tricks to put a negative thoughts in a deep hole so that they don’t come back. Some methods are a rubber band trick, visualizing putting thought in a balloon and sending it far, or putting thought in a pit and burying them deep down.

Use distraction for your benefit- Get yourself distracted to break the cycle of negative thoughts.

Teach Mind Some New Tricks

Teach your mind to have new tricks to get away from negative thoughts and de-clutter them. Challenge thoughts and replace them, always practice acceptance as without acceptance there will be no improvement, put a worry timer to stop stressing beyond that particular time, and do some mindful actions that require focus and mental strength.

By de-clutter your mind with the above-given tips you can feel relaxed, and healthier, and will improve your productivity and concentration on your tasks for achieving agile results. De-clutter your mind as advised by agile, will not only help you in being agile at your work and businesses but will also help you in your regular day-to-day life released from the stress and depression of events and situations.
